He’s married to Missy and together they have been blessed with three boys and a girl. He holds a B.A. in Humanities from The College at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Michael has a deep-seated passion for apologetics, theology, the ministry of the Word, and preaching. He serves as Pastor of Preaching and Vision at Providence Baptist Church and is also a council member for the Association of Ministers for Baptist and Evangelical Renewal (AMBER).

Jeremy Daku
Pastor of Teaching and Administration
Jeremy was born and raised in Saskatchewan but has been living and working as an engineer or pastor in Alberta since 2005. He holds an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies from Briercrest Bible College, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Systems Engineering from the University of Regina, and a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City. Jeremy is married to Heather and they have four beautiful children, three girls and one boy. He loves his Saviour who delivered him from the kingdom of darkness at an early age. He also loves the front seat his pastoral ministry affords him to watch God work out salvation in the lives of others. He serves as Pastor of Teaching and Administration.

Jonathan Emsheimer
Lay Pastor
Jonathan was born and raised in the Amazon in Brazil, the son of church-planting missionaries. He has been living in the High River area for 25 years. He and his wife Dori have three kids, including two adult children from his first marriage to Bobbi Jo (who passed away in 2010) and a young daughter they adopted from South Africa. Together they own a steel fabrication shop which serves as a full-time job for Jonathan during the week. Church and ministry have always been a part of his life, but Jonathan recalls coming to a saving faith in Christ and subsequent baptism at an early age when he realized his own sinfulness and hopeless standing before a holy and righteous God. He has been serving the church as a lay Elder for a number of years and considers it a great privilege.

George Teichroeb
Lay Pastor
George had his early beginnings in central British Columbia in a Christian home. Being the son of a tentmaking pastor, George was introduced to the gospel early in life. In his early 20’s, he developed an insatiable desire to know His God. He graduated from Prairie Bible College with a Bachelor of Theology and later in life completed the requirements of a Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary. He has pastored for 10 years and loves to serve wherever the Lord places him. He currently serves as a chaplain in the regional Fire Service and looks for ways to evangelize and also disciples a few men in his life. He is gainfully employed full-time in a Christian landscaping supply company for the past 7 years. He is married to his beautiful bride, Lisa, for over 30 years and has 3 married daughters and a growing number of grandchildren. In this, he is but an unworthy slave of Christ.

Chris Butler
Lay Pastor
Chris was born and raised in southern Alberta and grew up in an unbelieving household. While in his twenties when reading the gospel of Matthew he was brought under deep conviction by the Holy Spirit and was granted the gift of repentance at which time he was savingly brought to faith in Christ. Chris and Dianne have been married for over 30 years and have four children and two grandchildren. Chris has a special ministry passion for seeing marriages thrive and to be the living example of the profound mystery of Christ and the Church.

Brandon Turner
Pastoral Assistant
Brandon was born and raised in Florida, where at a young age he believed the gospel of Jesus Christ. After two years at a local community college, he went to Ethnos 360 Bible Institute in Wisconsin. He is married to Abigail, who shares his passion for this gospel work. Brandon loves Christ, the only one who can save sinners, and seeks to grow as a faithful man in ministry. He serves part-time at the church, getting the opportunity to be equipped for future ministry. Brandon and Abigail hope be sent out from PBC as church-planting missionaries to unreached peoples in the future. Brandon is excited about what God is doing here in High River and has a passion to see the local church partner with the global missions.
